Already taken Mahjong 101 but not quite ready to jump into Open Play? This class is designed just for you. Our 2-hour Mahjong 101 Refresher is the perfect next step between learning the rules and feeling confident playing on your own. We'll begin with a quick review of the fundamentals, then spend the majority of our time playing together while I coach you through real game situations. Along the way, we'll cover: • Reading and understanding the National Mahjong League card • Choosing the best hand as your game develops • Calling for tiles and joker strategy • Defensive play and common beginner mistakes • Game flow, etiquette, and table confidence • Answers to all those little questions that naturally come up after you've played a game or two This is a relaxed, supportive environment where you can ask questions, practice without pressure, and build the confidence you need before joining Open Play events. Who is this class for? Students who have already completed Three Sisters Mahjong's Mahjong 101 class (or have a basic understanding of American Mahjong) and want more guided practice before playing independently. By the end of class, you'll feel more comfortable making strategic decisions, reading the card more confidently, and sitting down at an Open Play table knowing you're ready. Class Length: 2 hours
